Wishing you a ‘Reet Good Yorkshire Day! | How to celebrate Yorkshire Day | The Authentic Taste Of Yorkshire
Happy Yorkshire Day!
1st August is one our favourite days... We’re very proud of our Yorkshire heritage, over 100 years of our family baking seriously good regional recipes, handed down the generations & lovingly honoured in our award-winning Yorkshire family craft bakery.
So, how to celebrate Yorkshire Day? That’s easy, put the kettle on to brew a lovely pot of tea and enjoy our traditional Yorkshire teatime ginger cake - the regional delicacy and the Authentic Taste of Yorkshire, our award-winning Yorkshire Parkin Ginger Cake.
Sticky, rich & full of ginger flavour, our old family recipe baked with treacle, ginger and oatmeal, then rested to gain its uniquely moist sticky texture, Yorkshire Parkin afternoon tea is a true celebration of our Yorkshire heritage. You can cut into bite size slabs, perhaps lightly buttered along with all your afternoon tea favourites. You can of course create the perfect pudding, if you gently warm the Yorkshire Parkin, drizzle with our caramel sauce and add a dollop of cream, go on treat yourself… it’s Yorkshire Day!
